How to Play Christmas Charades

Divide into two teams of roughly equal number of players.
Each team can have just two players, but it will be more fun with more players.
Teams take turns to send one player to pick a Christmas Charades Card.
Without speaking, that player must act out the word or phrase on the Christmas Charades Card while his or her teammates try to guess the correct answer within a given time.
(Usually 3 minutes, but you may vary this according to the age and skill level of your players.)

If they get it correct within the time limit, the team scores 10 points.
Play for a pre-determined number of rounds or period of time.
Give the winning team a prize.

Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
God sent his Son, Jesus, to be born on earth because he loves us very much.

Read
John 3:16

Conclusion
God loves us so much that he wants to be with us forever and ever! But we cannot be with God because we have all sinned. We have all done things that are wrong. Telling lies, fighting and stealing are examples of sins.

So God sent his Son, Jesus, to come to earth to die on the cross so that all of our sins can be forgiven.

And on the third day, Jesus became alive again!

If you choose to accept this perfect Christmas gift of Jesus, you can be with God forever and ever.

You can accept Jesus by:
1. Admitting that you have sinned and asking God to forgive you,
2. Believing that Jesus died on the cross to be punished instead of you, and
3. Inviting Jesus into your life to help you turn away from sin.

You can talk to Jesus about this right now:

Dear Jesus, I know that I have sinned. I believe that you died on the cross to take the punishment for my sins. Please forgive all of my sins. Please come into my life and help me turn away from doing wrong. Thank you that because you took the punishment for my sins, I can have a relationship with you now and will one day be with you in heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

  1. How disappointing, I was hoping to find questions like “away in a manger” rather than “bad santa”. Can’t you come up with questions that are at least vaguely about Biblical christmas?

    1. Hi Bruce. Thank you for your comment. We do have more biblical phrases such as “An angel appeared to shepherds”, “Magi from the east” and even “Christ, the Savior is born”. But I agree we should have more. We will try to include more of such phrases for next year. We needed similar phrases for Christmas Pictionary as well, so “Baby Jesus in a manger” appears in the Christmas Pictionary cards.
